1. About the service

My Recipe App ("the Service") is a recipe management and weekly meal planning application operated by Saffer Stretch Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (registered address: Greetwell Place, Lincoln, LN2 4US, United Kingdom). The Service is available via a web application and a mobile application.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly accept registrations from anyone under 16.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others.
Notify us promptly at info@myrecipeapp.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service, except through our published APIs.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or impose an unreasonable load on our systems.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

5. Content you provide

Your recipes and data. Recipes, photos, notes, and other content you add to the Service ("Your Content") remain yours. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

Licence to us. By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account.

Responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. If you import a recipe from an external website, you do so for your own personal, non-commercial use. We do not verify the copyright status of imported content.

6. Recipes provided by the Service

The Service includes a library of recipes sourced from publicly available websites. These recipes are provided for informational and personal use only. The original copyright of each recipe remains with its author or publisher. We display attribution (source URL) where available. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or nutritional information of any recipe.

7. Intellectual property

All rights in the Service itself — including the software, design, logos, and branding — belong to Saffer Stretch Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without written permission.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to carry out maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice of significant changes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £50, whichever is greater).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

10. Account termination

By you. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app, or by emailing us. When you delete your account, all your personal data, recipes, and uploaded images are permanently removed from our systems as described in our Privacy Policy.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or if we are required to do so by law. Where possible, we will notify you before taking action.

11. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, recipe source URLs). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those websites. Visiting a third-party site is at your own risk.

12. Privacy

Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are significant, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when the terms were last revised.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.
